The Cross-Trade Pathways team is in the process of selecting trades to develop cross-trade pathways for. The 56 Red Seal trades that were under consideration at the beginning of the project have been narrowed down to three groups of trades that are being assessed against each other. Project News: July 3, 2021 - HUB TRADE MODEL
After reviewing available labour market data, meeting with industry stakeholders, ITA, and training providers, and analysing crossover between Occupational Standards of Red Seal trades, the Cross-Trade Pathways project is pursuing a Hub Trade Model . This model will enable a wider potential pool of participants by focusing on two clusters of related trades for the development of learning pathways that will reduce retraining needed to move into a new trade or gain a complementary certification.
